Air Cleaner Drain Hose Removal
The air cleaner drain hose is on the LH side of the bike. It has a plastic bottle with a stopper at the bottom. This should not be confused with the fuel tank breather hose that has a length of open hose at the tip rather than a stopper.
The air cleaner drain hose needs to be disconnected and cleared to access or remove other parts.
DO FIRST:
Remove the idle speed adjusting screw cable from the retainer clamps (see Throttle Bodies Assembly Removal, step 1).
Removal
1. Clear the idle speed adjusting screw cable upward and away from the air cleaner drain hose as shown in the picture below.
Pinch the spring clamp and pull the air box drain hose off of the fitting protruding from the bottom left corner of the air box.
2. Note the routing of the air cleaner drain hose (see the picture in the intro of this tutorial) with the other hoses, clutch line and idle adjuster screw cable. Remove the air cleaner drain tube.
Installation
3. Installation is the reverse procedure.
Place the idle adjustment screw cable back in the retainer clamp (see Throttle Bodies Assembly Removal, step 15).
